On their new CD “The Doug White Quintet Live at Tapeworks,” Bill “Bill D” Denert, Jr of Evening Jazz WESU radio station says “I reviewed the Doug White Quintet CD and it is one of the best new releases I’ve ever had the pleasure of listening to. This CD reminds me so much pf some of the jazz musicians who played in the mid to late 1950’s. Doug;s sax playing is smooth like that of Coleman Hawkins and Chris Casey’s piano playing sounds a lot like Bill Evans, Tadd Dameron and Lennie Tristano all rolled into one! Kudos for such a super release!”
