Steve Dedman and Peter Lehndorff

May 9, 2019 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Join us for an evening with two exceptional singer-songwriters, Steve Dedman and Peter Lehndorff. The songwriter behind Plywood Cowboy, Steve Dedman’s songs earned a spot on the 2018 Grammy ballot, while Peter Lehndorff ‘s material has been featured by NPR’s Car Talk and concert compilations for WWUH ’s Folk Next Door.

BONUS: Ed Iarusso will be joining Steve on the pedal steel guitar.

Take yourself back to the days of dusty country roads, carefree summers, and your radio tuned to music that was soulful and authentic. Enter Plywood Cowboy frontman and singer-songwriter Steve Dedman, crafting songs ripe with these nostalgic comforts, yet perfectly suited for the soundtrack of modern life. The songs are “steeped in tradition, with lyrics full of longing, truth and heart” (Sound Waves Magazine). The 2018 album “Blue Skies” earned a spot on the Grammy ballot in the Best Americana Song and Best Americana Album categories. Plywood Cowboy were also winners of the 2018 Connecticut Folk Festival band competition.

PETER LEHNDORFF writes folk and jazz songs about everyday life. Some are humorous observations about everyday life, life in a small town and life in Massachusetts. In addition to his slice of life songs, Peter is now mixing the funny with the serious; the romantic with the eccentric. Some new songs reflect his experiences as a caregiver for his late wife.
• Finalist in the Boston Acoustic Underground competition
• Selected for three Folk Next Door concert compilations for WWUH-fm at the University of Hartford CT.
• Car-related tunes on NPR’s “CarTalk.”
• Opened for Tom Paxton, the late Bill Morrissey, Robert Earl Keen, Arlo Guthrie and Dar Williams.
