Connecticut Songwriter Association Logo
The Connecticut Songwriters Association presents a workshop for all  songwriters, artists,  and creative folk:
The Business of Being a Creative MusicianPublishing, Royalties & Taxes
Among the most difficult things for creative folks to deal with are the many nuances of running a business based on creativity and intellectual property. Royalty streams, publishing and taxes are always near the top of the list.
Many songwriters and artists never get all the income or tax deductions that they are entitled to because they don’t know what questions to ask or they just don’t want to deal with the complexities.  This workshop, presented by Grammy Winner Bill Pere,  will address the essential questions and make it all understandable so that you have a clear path ahead to maximize income while minimizing taxes.
Following the presentation, there will be a song critique session.  Bring a song on CD or do it live, along with multiple copies of typed lyric sheets, and receive valuable constructive feedback.

Bill Pere is president of the Connecticut Songwriter’s Association (CSA)

The program is free to CSA members, $5 to non- members.
