Simple Tai Chi “Just for the Health of it” with Mike McEwen
Due to the positive results from his first session, Mike is extending this program for another 8 week session. Come follow along and learn techniques to reduce stress and improve your balance.
Fun, informative & life-changing, this eight week, Simple Tai Chi class, was created for busy people of all ages. Give yourself the gift of better health and more relaxation!
Mike understands the challenges of finding time for yourself and realizes the value in quieting the mind and relaxing the body. With an emphasis on reducing stress to improve your overall good health, it also serves to build a stronger focus.
All are welcome to learn these Simple Tai Chi techniques and principles that can be utilized in your every day movements. This class allows you to receive the best of Tai Chi, without struggling to fit the lengthy study of a traditional Tai Chi class into your busy lives.
Mike became a certified instructor of Tai Chi in 2006, from Central Connecticut Tai Chi Ch’uan. He also has over 25 years experience as a practitioner of Qi gong and Reiki Healing Energy. He has a strong passion to share this knowledge with others and has lead previous classes at The Buttonwood Tree.
Recognizing the health and other benefits that one receives, by the power of this life force energy better known as Qi energy, former students have requested more classes … here they are! Mike has broken down the complex movements of the Tai Chi form and is offering it to you in a simplified version, easy to remember and incorporate into your day. At the end of this eight week class, you’ll be able to recognize and have a stronger understanding of the power of Qi energy. You will learn how to use it, within your own range of motion and physical capabilities, increasing your lung capacity, balance, overall strength and range of motion, along with countless other benefits. This can be adapted for the chair if you wish to sit.
