Michael Sheridan Trio
October 2, 2015 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm EDT$10
For the past year and a half the Michael Sheridan Trio (www.michaelsheridanmusic.com) has delighted audiences around New York City with robust and vibrant interpretations of tangos, waltzes, gypsy jazz, flamenco and classical music. The new CD “…but that’s not why ships are built” will be available for sale at all performances.
“There’s so much cool music in the world,” says Sheridan. “My Dad loved Motown, my Mom loved the Beatles and everybody in the family loved Bing, Frank and Big Band Jazz. On my own I got into gypsy swing, bebop and classical music. Then out in California all I did was surf and learn all this great South American guitar music. When I came back to NYC it all came together. I’ve been blessed to have been around some of the best players in the world and I watched every move they made.”
