Celebrating International Women’s Day!
A collective women’s art show, on display for the month of March.
Featured Artists: Lorna Morris Cyr, Laina Pauker, and Maria Brower
About Laina Pauker
Laina Pauker is currently based in New Haven, CT. This collection of work looks outward as well as inward to convey her own feminism. Going beyond simplistic notions of femininity, she uses deep colors and overlapping brush strokes, both gestural and intricate, to reflect the complexity of women as human beings. Incorporating the iconic purple tones of International Women’s Day into pattern, landscape, and portrait, Laina weaves the significance of this international initiative into her personal imagery.
