Ryan Martin Callinan “Were You Here” and Heather Cohen “Blue Pearl” Art Exhibit

Heather Cohen MFT was trained as an art therapist at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco. Heather has worked as an artist and art therapist both nationally and internationally. Her passion for art, healing, and culture took her to Africa, Asia, South America, India, Europe, the Middle East and a Navajo reservation in northern Arizona. Her work continued to expand to photography projects with youth in various countries (for more information see Heather’s Tedx presentation on youtube “Stories from the Miracle Children” about her work teaching photography at an AIDS orphanage in South Africa)
Heather co-directed The Big Sur Spirit Garden, a cultural art and educational center in Big Sur, California, for 6 years.
Heather continues to honor and celebrate art, culture and healing through a variety of mediums including: exhibits, arts & music events, workshops, astrological counseling and much more.
Ryan Martin Callinan is a writer, photographer, poet, and strategic communication specialist who currently resides in Kensington. His work has appeared in the Mad River Literary Anthology, the Winsted Journal, Northampton, MA, and other fine art venues in and around Middletown. Originally from Chicago, Callinan’s roots and influences are Midwestern, Eastern, and Northern.
