Don Sineti “Whales and Blubber”

September 14 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Come join us in having a whale of a good time with Artist Don SinetiĀ

ART RECEPTIONĀ  – Meet and Greet the artist

Don Sineti from Bloomfield, Connecticut began doing artwork of Cetaceans (whales, dolphins and porpoises) after returning from Vietnam in 1968 where he served in the 199th Infantry Brigade.

He is co-founder and former president of the Cetacean Society International. He illustrated five major publications about cetaceans and has had two shows at the United Nations. He has thirty pieces on permanent display at Hale Kohola (House of The Whale) Museum in Maui, Hawaii. His desire is for the art to have the “look and feel” of traditional sailor art but with anatomically correct cetaceans.

As a shantyman (someone who performs sailor work songs) Don has recorded two CD’s and performed around the world. He is currently on staff at the Mystic Seaport Museum.
