Story City Troupe

September 7 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm

$10
ABOUT:
Join us again for an evening of true, personal stories told in the Moth style.

This month we’re going with two upcoming Moth themes: “Scandal,” which is scheduled for the Boston Moth Slam on September 12th and on the 20th in New York City, and “Extra Mile,” featured at the Boston Slam on October 2nd and in New York’s Slam on October 9th.

You are invited to come practice your own story with us and then take it to a Slam. Or tell us a story about anything else. Just show up and drop your name in the hat.  If we pull your name, the stage will be yours. You can ask us for (gentle) feedback after the show, if you like.  We’d be happy to help.

Our stories will take you from  New Haven to Quebec to Ireland, and from an exhausting triathalon to a couple of unfortunate salt water plunges, with a few shocks along the way.

One of our favorites, Saul Fussiner, returns after a long  hiatus, and we’re so glad to have him back! Our other storytellers for the night are: Jill Wruble, Maire Greene, Divi Hall and Mike Isko, who also serves as our inimitable M.C. We promise you’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll identify!

Come early park in the Its Only Natural food store’s parking lot next door and grab a low-cost vegetarian supper there first.

This group is led by Sue Huggans and welcomes new members.
