Rick Silberberg “A Re -Visible Man”

February 2 - February 26

This will be the third time Rick Silberberg  has exhibited at the Buttonwood Tree, the first time being 25 years ago in 1992.
He received a Master’s Degree from  the City University of New York in 1972  and has been actively  pursuing a career in art since then.Formerly an Art Therapist employed at Whiting Forensic Institute, he is a member of Gallery One, a coop based on the Connecticut shoreline.

His work has been exhibited in venues including the Lyman Allyn Museum and The Alexy von Schlippe Gallery at The University of Connecticut.

Reviewers have compared his work to “magnifying glass windows on worlds invisible to the naked eye” and and have said when viewing his paintings  “one is transported; arms spread across the sash, forehead pressed against the glass peering into a turbulent but mesmerizing terrain.” The current exhibit will feature a selection of work done over many  years since last exhibiting at TBT.

The artist is also concurrently exhibiting with Gallery One at The River Street Gallery in the Fairhaven section of New Haven as well as at the Spectrum Gallery in the Centerbrook section of Essex.

The exhibit will run from Feb 2 – Feb 26
