Chi Balance Class

An event every week that begins at 7:00pm on Wednesday, repeating until June 20, 2018

The Buttonwood Tree hosts a new class to start May 15 and 16.
Chi Balance is a combination of simple T’ai Chi Qi gong and Reiki Healing Energy techniques to be used in everyday movements to improve overall health. In this program you’ll learn powerful coping skills to reduce stress and create more internal and external balance in your life. Dress comfortably and for best results do not eat a large meal within one hour prior to class. No experience is necessary, ages 8+ are welcome.

Two weekly class times are offered: Tuesdays from noon to 1 pm and Wednesdays from 7-8pm. If you miss your scheduled class you may attend another class time that week.    PREREGISTRATION for the 6 week class is required.  Sorry, NO WALK INS.

Mike McEwen has been practicing T’ai chi for over 30 years and is a certified instructor of T’ai chi and Qi gong; and a Level 2 Reiki Healing Energy practitioner. He has a passion for guiding people to their inner peace and living a healthier lifestyle. This is a customized program combining techniques from various disciplines.

In consideration of all the great teaching that T’ai Chi and Qi gong has to offer Mike McEwen reflects back to his earliest studies of T’ai Chi, at the time when Chi Energy became president in his consciousness, and the profound difference it made in his life. “It was like a torch in the dark that lit up the path into my inner peace”. It allows you the space for stillness where one can find clearly, of mind, body and soul, and that natural flow of energy that connects them all together.

Mike realizes the importance and the challenge of finding time to practice a discipline, and will guide you with simple successful techniques that will fit into your busy lifestyles. Upon completing this six week session you will have a stronger understanding of how to listen to your bodies impulses, react to stress differently, have more energy to get though the day, and be able to build a stronger foundation for overall good health. It will be educational, engaging and fun.
